Position Description:

The Marketing Manager I-Digital Strategist is responsible for collaboratively developing, implementing and managing strategic marketing and digital plans for a global SaaS provider of financial operations solutions. This position must be comfortable with the latest Marketing Automation tools and best practices for lead generation, content marketing and communications. The Marketing Manager I-Digital Strategist stays abreast of changes in the marketing and digital marketing environment and the B2B arena to best serve the objectives of clients and the organization and adjusts plans as needed.


The Marketing Manager I-Digital Strategist manages the team of Marketing and Digital Specialists in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. This position is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, coaching and mentoring new talent to complement and expand the team. This position ensures that team milestones/goals are met.


This position works closely with members of the Marketing team as well as stakeholders in Sales, Client Success, and Product teams to design marketing campaigns around the DataServ solutions sets.


The Marketing Manager 1-Digital Strategist reports to the Director, Sales and Marketing.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions - Marketing Manager

  • Develops a deep understanding of the DataServ brand, products, services and, most important, the benefits we deliver to clients in order to develop educational content that generates leads and credibility with prospects globally.
  • Assists in the development and execution of an annual marketing strategy and plan.
  • Manages trade show participation including promotional activities and on-site show support.
  • Establishes closed-loop analytics with Sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into clients and continually refines our process to convert new clients.
  • Organizes and runs regular meetings with the Sales team to determine their needs and collaborates to develop content and campaigns. Supports the Sales team with presentation and marketing materials.
  • Tracks and reports marketing performance measures including budget and performance for assigned programs.
  • Assists in recruiting, selection and management of the Marketing group, contract talent and vendor teams as required to meet goals and complete projects.

Essential Functions - Digital Strategist

  • Plans, measures, and improves marketing and digital marketing strategies for DataServ solutions by using all necessary tools (e.g., search, advertisement, social medial, email, blogs, video, website, etc.).
  • Develops digital marketing strategy by studying P2P and Q2C industry trend indicators, tracking changes in the B2B environment, identifying prospects personas and their current/future needs, and monitoring the competition.
  • Develops and maintains digital marketing campaigns that attract attention and client/prospect interest. Optimizes marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content and social channels.
  • Drives expansion of social networks.
  • Researches new and creative growth strategies to identify new opportunities.
  • Leverages online tracking data for analysis (e.g. SEO/SEM and Google Analytics) to forecast trends.
  • Implements strategies based on knowledge of the organization's objectives. Keeps up to date with our buyer's preferences and proactively suggests new campaigns.
  • Identifies target audiences and devises digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate. Grows new leads, including marketing qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages and lead generation content.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of DataServ solutions and the value offered to clients.
  • Establishes best practices in digital marketing at DataServ.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment or can operate remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. As a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, employee must be technically savvy with the ability to use the computer/keyboard to conduct business.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.


POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time, exempt position with days of work Monday through Friday and with hours scheduled around core hours of operation. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


TRAVEL

Up to 10% of travel is expected for this position. If this position is remote and outside the St. Louis area, travel is anticipated 2-4 times per year to stay in touch with direct reports and the management team.


REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or related area.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience developing and implementing digital marketing strategies.
  • Minimum 4-6 years' experience in driving a global marketing initiative that consistently delivered measured results.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, CRM or other related resources.
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience managing a team.
  • Understanding of inbound marketing, buyer's journey and content development.
  • Is highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising marketing and digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Ability to grasp technology-based business process flows within the Finance & Administration space and maintain an understanding of the marketplace including competitors.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), technology, software and/or accounting fields preferred.
  • Familiarity with web design and HTML.
