Position Description:

The Information Systems Analyst I is responsible for maintaining DataServ's back-end business and work flow management systems.  The position identifies, researches and resolves technical and logical issues within system automation, while monitoring operational tasks/functions to ensure optimal system performance. 

The Information Systems Analyst I works on diverse internal projects involving enhancement of internal tools and improvement of the processing environment.


  • Analyzes and fixes system, process and data issues experienced by DataServ solutions and DataServ clients. Works as Tier 3 support for ITO to resolve issues.
  • Assists with client-specific or system-wide issues and enhancements to determine affected data and system components.
  • Assists in solution recommendations, implementing fixes, and unit/system testing of these changes. This involves internally developed software tools for Document Management, application debugging and programming, job scheduling, database querying and manipulation, etc. 
  • Works directly with the IT Operations team, peers and managers to clarify issues, coordinate activities and communicate results.
  • Proactively discovers new issues, documents impact of errors, and suggests process improvements.
  • Assists with testing of the client environment as needed.
  • Assists with network, infrastructure, and database administration/support
  • Participates in on-going professional development activities to build technical expertise.
  • Available for after-hours and weekend support as needed.
  • Proactively report issues and communicate status to affected parties regularly; especially when there are roadblocks or successful completion is at risk.
  • Provide documented, thorough, solution alternatives and recommendations on issues and process improvements.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Associates in Information Systems, technical school equivalent or minimum 1-3 years' experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in technology software system support, infrastructure and hardware.
  • Ability to communicate in technical and non-technical terms depending on audience.
  • Proven analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Must exhibit strong written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
